Getting learners more actively involved
A great Primary Languages conference today- many thanks to all involved for the fantastic resources and ideas shared.
I had a great (?) idea at some point in the morning when a colleague mentioned the idea of language ambassadors. As I understood it, motivated learners could be chosen for this role, which could involve assisting with various aspects of teaching and learning. For some time I have had the idea of using hand pointers (see image), to focus pupils' attention on words we are repeating on the white board, etc. I have finally got round to ordering some on Amazon, but it occurred to me that if I were to nominate language ambassadors, one of their roles could be using the pointer! I will let you know how it goes....
